Mrs. Shannon Daniel

Dear Stark Elementary Staff, Families, and Stakeholders,

I am honored and excited to share a little about myself. I was born in Austin, Texas, and when I was eight years old, my father retired from the Air Force. We moved to Franklin, Tennessee to be near family, where my father began a second career as a farmer.

Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. As a child, I would line up my stuffed animals and “teach” for hours. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Louisiana State University and my Master’s in Educational Leadership from Mercer University. This year marks my 29th year in education! Over the years, I have been blessed to serve as both a teacher and a leader, using my skills to impact the lives of countless children.

Outside of school, I have many hobbies. In the summer, you’ll often find me soaking up the sun on Jackson Lake. In the fall and winter, I enjoy rock crawling in a customized Jeep. Most of all, I value the lesson life has taught me—that every day is a blessing! I strive to live each day with positivity, gratitude, and purpose.

In 2016, I moved to Jackson and immediately felt like I had come home. I was truly blessed to be chosen as the leader of Stark Elementary, and I am proud to serve alongside the best Stark Family. We will grow together and succeed together! I will continue working with our students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders to provide rich learning and life experiences that maximize each student’s potential so they are prepared for a bright, productive future.

We are #STARKSTRONG!

Educationally yours,
Shannon Daniel
