Mrs. Shannon Daniel

Dear Stark Elementary Staff, Families and Stakeholders,

I am honored and excited to share a little about myself. I was born in Austin, Texas. When I was eight years old, my father retired from the Air Force, and we moved to Franklin, Tennessee to be with family. In Tennessee, my father began a second career as a farmer. My parents are now retired and live in McDonough, Georgia.

Growing up I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. When I was little, I would line up my stuffed animals and teach for hours. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Louisiana State University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Mercer University. I have 26 years of experience in the field of education. Eighteen of those years were as a teacher, and I have more than eight years of administrative experience. Throughout my years in education, I have enjoyed the opportunity to use my skills as a teacher and leader to impact the lives of so many children.

I have two wonderful daughters, a great son (in-law) and three grandchildren! I have many hobbies and things I enjoy doing. During the summer, you can find me soaking up the rays on Jackson Lake. I enjoy duck hunting and bow hunting white tail. Most of all I treasure time with family and friends!

In July of 2016 I moved to Jackson. I immediately felt like I had come home!  I was blessed to be chosen as the leader of Stark Elementary. I have the best Stark Family! We will grow together and succeed together! I will work every day with students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders to provide learning and life experiences that maximize the individual potential of all students so they are prepared for a productive future. We are #STARKSTRONG!

Educationally yours,

Shannon Daniel
