Degrees and Certifications:

Lucinda Brackett

I grew up in Forest Park, Georgia and graduated from Forest Park High School.  I have been married to my husband for 38 years and we have three grown, married children.  We now have seven beautiful grandchildren we enjoy spending time with as often as possible.  We moved to Jackson in 2015 and plan to enjoy many years living in this wonderful community.  I have fond childhood memories of visiting and spending time with family in Jackson where we would often visit Indian Springs to picnic, play in the creek and slide on the rocks.

I began my teaching career in Nashville, TN where my husband and I moved following my graduation from Georgia State University where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.  After living in Nashville, we moved back home to Georgia and I began teaching in Clayton County.  When my oldest daughter started college, I returned to college myself and earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum, Assessment and Instruction and my Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership. I was a Kindergarten teacher for most of my teaching career; however, I have also taught 1st and 2nd grades, as well as EIP.  I was an Instructional Coach for several years prior to becoming an Assistant Principal in 2012.

I have loved serving as the Assistant Principal of Stark Elementary since 2017.  I am excited to begin another year working with our dedicated team to provide learning and life experiences that maximize the individual potential of all students so they are prepared for a productive future.  It's going to be another #StarkStrong year at SES!
