    Dear Stark Strong Community,

My name is Joshua Ridley, and I am the new Assistant Principal at Stark Elementary. I am beyond thankful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on the students, staff, and families of Stark Elementary.  I know we will have a wonderful year.  Go Eagles!

I am honored and excited to share a little about myself.  I was born in Dalton, Georgia and lived there until I finished middle school.  In 2001, upon entering high school, I moved to the small town of Hahira, Georgia.  I attended Lowndes High School and graduated in 2005.  After graduating high school, I was accepted into Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Georgia.  At Georgia Southwestern, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Grades Education.  I then went on to earn a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I began my teaching career at Monroe County Middle School in Forsyth, Georgia.  I was fortunate enough to teach Social Studies in all three grade levels.  Throughout my educational career, I have added endorsements in Gifted Education, Teacher Leader and Personalized Learning.

I am blessed to be happily married to my wife, Amber, for almost 14 years.  We met in college and have been together for almost 19 years.  We have two beautiful children, Wilson and Aubrey Grace.  We live on my wife’s family farm and cherish every moment that we all get to spend together.  In my spare time, I love playing basketball, going to the movies, and watching college football, especially my Georgia Bulldogs!

I am looking forward to working with each of you in the upcoming school year!
