Hello!  My name is Calie Bates and I am entering my 9th year in 5th grade at Stark Elementary School.  I am so excited about this school year beginning.  Right now, there is so much uncertainty in the world, but please rest assured, we are doing our best as educators, to keep our students actively engaged in instruction!  It is my firm belief that for success to be reached in the classroom, a positive relationship must first be established between teachers, parents, and the students themselves!  

I graduated from Macon State College in 2010 with my BS in Education.  Before that, I completed my Associates of Arts degree in Social Work from Gordon College in Barnesville, GA.

This year, my husband and I will celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary in December.  We have two sons, one of whom is a Stark Elementary Eagle, in 3rd grade, and our youngest, who will be turning one year old in October!
