Mrs. Laura LaChappelle

A southern California native, Mrs. LaChappelle taught in northern Arizona for 9 years before her family moved to Georgia in 2005. She and her husband of 31 years, Jason LaChappelle, are both in their 28th year in the high school classroom. They love being part of the RD4L family, and two of their boys are JHS graduates. Mrs. L loves to learn, and has participated in professional development opportunities with The Gilder Lehrman Institute for American History, The Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian, the Korean War Legacy Foundation, The Bill of Rights Institute, The Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, and Teaching American History. When not preparing lessons or grading papers, Mrs. L enjoys reading, baking, traveling, and scuba diving, but most of all, spending time with her 3 sons and 3 grandchildren.
