Hi,

This is my 34th year of teaching! I taught Art for two years in a public school in Missouri;  Art, Spanish, Drama, Yearbook, Newspaper, etc in a private school in Florida; and came to Butts County in the 1999-2000 school year. Here I taught at JES for 18 years in art and various grade levels, DES for 2 years in art, and am VERY excited about starting my fifth year at JHS. My son was a Red Devil and I am very glad to be one!

I earned my Bachelors in Fine Arts from Old Dominion University in Virginia and my Masters in Education from Missouri State University. I also have certification in English as a 2nd language, Gifted Learning, and the differences in teaching genders. This past year I also added accreditation in CTAE instruction.

I have been honored by previous students as their Star teacher eight times and was voted Teacher of the Year at JES in 2015. 

I live in Jackson with my husband, who is the art teacher at JES.
