Ms. Zerbe

Greetings JES!!!  My name is Ms. Megan Zerbe and I am the music teacher and chorus director at Jackson Elementary.  This is my seventh year as Jackson Elementary Music Teacher/chorus director.  Previously, I worked 11 years at Clayton County Schools as a music therapist and 4 years in a facility in Pittsburgh as a music therapist.  I absolutely love teaching music and sharing my love of music with our students here at Jackson Elementary.

When I am not in the JES music room, I love being on the lake, traveling, hiking, and kayaking.  If it is outdoors, I am there!

I am originally from Northwestern Pennsylvania.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree in music therapy from Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.  I then completed several music education courses at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh before moving to Georgia, where I completed more music education courses at Georgia State University.  Later, I graduated from Valdosta State University with a Master's Degree of Teaching in Special Education.

Instruments that I play are piano, clarinet, and guitar.   I love to sing, and can often be found making songs up about anything and everything!

I look forward to working with all of the Jackson Elementary School students for the 2024-2025 school year!!!
