The USDA requires each school system operating under the National School Lunch Program to have two health inspections performed yearly by the local Health Department. The Butts County School System's first inspection took place in December of 2022 and resulted in all five schools scoring a 100. Our School Nutrition Department is truly amazing. Ms. Nicole James, School Nutrition Program Director stated,  "All five schools have at one point this year worked short staffed and have had supply chain issues, but always kept food safety and the safety of our students the number one priority. What they accomplish every day while keeping food safety at the forefront, is a testimony to the dedication and professionalism of the Butts County School Nutrition Program Staff."
