Hello! My name is Mrs. McWhorter. I am entering my eleventh year of teaching and my fifth year in second grade. Before joining the second grade team, I taught first grade for five years and kindergarten for one. I graduated from Gordon State College in 2012 with my bachelors in Early Childhood Special Education General Curriculum. I earned my masters in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State in 2015 and my specialist in Early Childhood Education from GA Southwestern State in 2018. I am also gifted certified through Griffin RESA. I was nominated as the Stark Teacher of The Year in 2018. I love my job and enjoy coming to work every day to teach our younger generation to be lifelong learners.
