Hello Tigers!
We are embarking on a journey together that will lead us to amazing things. My hopes are to help provide students with opportunities in and out of the classroom that will push them in the direction of greatness. I believe that students grow and achieve more when they are challenged and surrounded by involved and compassionate adults, both within and outside the walls of the school. With this in mind, I am proud to say I am excited and privileged to be a Henderson Tiger again!
I hail from Birmingham, AL, but have spent the last 20 years in Georgia. I have a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from The University ofAlabama, a Master of Arts in High School History from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, an Education Specialist in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University, and an Education Specialist in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University. During my time here in Georgia, I met my wonderful husband Jason. We have no children at home, but do have 4 sweet adorable furbabies
My entire career, I have had the pleasure to serve as a Butts County Educator. Throughout my years here, I have taught middle and high school ELA and Social Studies. The last 6 years I have spent as an Instructional Coach at Henderson Middle School and the District Level. Being named the newest Assistant Principal at Henderson Middle School is an honor that I don't take lightly.
My goal is to continue the greatness that is HMS. We will work together to ensure student success through the guidance and support we provide to our teachers. However, we can't do this without support from our community stakeholders as well. To be all we can be we must work together for the betterment of our school.
Welcome to the Ambush!
