Welcome to my classroom.  I would like to share with you some interesting facts about myself.  I have been married 27 years to a 5th generation of Henry Co.   My husband and I have 2 beautiful girls. The oldest daughter  is  23 and has graduated from the University of Georgia.  She is currently working at the Capitol in Washington D.C..  My youngest daughter is currently in nursing school at Ga. Southern University.  My hobbies include shopping, gardening and loving my family.  I also love traveling.  The furtherest place I have traveled was Italy.  My family and I attend Bethany Baptist church.  We have been members for 27 years.  I currently serve as the Women's Ministry Director. 

I have taught Special Education for over 15 years, including MOID, MID, SID/PID and Orthopedic Impaired students.  I taught in Henry County for the last 15 years, during which I was honored to have been named Teacher of the Year for 2016/17. 

This year, your child will be enriched with academic activities that are standard-based, sensory activities, small groups and activities that are least restrictive, which include field trips with the general ed. population.  Unique Learning is the standard-based curriculum that I use which is designed specifically to help students with specific learning needs master the state's extended standards.  I will deliver differentiated, standards-aligned content enhanced by powerful assessments, data tools, and evidence-based instructional support.
